Crawling On The Ceiling

  1. First of all, please be careful about putting out poison bait to kill rats or mice that may be in the crawl space above your ceiling or in your attic. If the poison works, you will have a dead rat rotting away over your head. While you may or may not be able to find it, you will definitely smell it.
  2. NONE set in ceiling tho, as we have no access there, short of cutting a hole in it. (Which I may end up doing, with REASSURANCE we close it up good so nothing can come thru after me!) - In floor (sub-flooring that is). Thats where the "knocking" noise is. - In/around my vent. The duct was replaced from opossums, but whatever is under there now.
  3. May 23,  · When we moved into our Eichler home in Sunnyvale last year, we had a lot of carpenter ant activity. Saw-dust looking material falling from the ceiling, ants crawling on the beams and such. We had some baiting done by our gardner at the time (don't know which bait). The activity continued.
  4. Ants often gather in crawlspaces or ceilings and may be visible crawling in large numbers. Ants make their nests in protected spaces such as attics, crawlspaces, in wall voids and around pipes. Certain species of ants bite or sting, making control measures important. Sowbugs and pillbugs move around at night and prefer moist, humid living spaces.

  6. The other way to use the chemical sprays is to spray the areas where you know the spiders live and hide. By poisoning these locations the spiders will be killed the next time they come in contact with the chemicals. This can be a good method to use for hard to reach places such as on the ceiling .
  7. Yes, bed bugs can scale walls and even crawl across ceilings to find a hiding spot (or food). Some bed bugs use the wall as a place to live when they aren't feeding. In particular, cracks and crevices (such as the gap between the wall and the baseboard) make excellent bed bug hiding spots. View more on it here.
